With engagement such an important statistic to keep track of across all of your social media channels, it’s no wonder that users are interested to know how shareable their content is and who is choosing to share it with their own followers.
However, while TikTok is happy share insight into how many shares each video receives, one piece of information it will not disclose is who exactly has shared your videos.
How Many Shares Has a TikTok Received?
To find out how many shares a video has received, click into it to bring it to full screen mode. The sweeping share arrow at the bottom of the engagement options will tell you exactly how many times the video has been shared.
Alternatively, you unlock a series of analytics by heading into the Creator Tools menu on your profile and selecting ‘Analytics’.
NOTE: In order for a TikTok that you have created to be able to be shared, you need to ensure it is public. You can do this by accessing your ‘Settings and Privacy’ menu from your profile page, then selecting ‘Privacy’. Under Discoverability, you will see a toggle to switch on or off your ‘Private Account’. If video shares is something you want to encourage for maximum visibility, then make sure that this toggle is switched off.
We hope this helps! While it may not be possible to see who exactly shared your TikTok, you can see how many times it has been shared, boosting your access to important engagement stats.
