TikTok stories work in much the same way as any other social media platform. They offer creators a chance to share snippets into their day, and small digestible pieces of content, which disappear after 24 hours – making them the perfect outlet for entertaining content and BTS posts.
And in much the same way as Instagram and Facebook stories enable creators to see who viewed their story, TikTok also enables the poster to see who viewed and engaged with their story while it’s active.
But TikTok takes this one step further…
What Information Is Available With TikTok Stories?
Not only can you, as the creator, see who viewed your story – others can see this information too. Your followers and story viewers can also see any public comments that have been posted in response to your TikTok story, making these stories more engaging for your community than those shared on Instagram and other apps.
How Long Can Stories Be?
A TikTok story can be anywhere from a couple of seconds to 15 seconds long. This means that they are shorter than the stories created on other social apps – however, it could be argued that the entire basis of TikTok is built around short form video content and so offering longer story posts is not necessary.
To create a story, simply go through the ‘Create’ process as normal and then share the ‘Post to Story’ when it’s complete.
We hope this helps you to maximise the impact of your TikTok story content and uncover not only how many people view your stories but who those users are.
