TikTok is one of the most popular social media platforms in the world, with creators, brands, businesses, and users across all industries and sectors using the app to connect with their target audience and build their profile.

Now, imagine for a moment that you are a serial entrepreneur. Perhaps you run your own consultancy business as well as an online shop, and also like to browse TikTok on your personal account while staying connected with friends and family. You might even work for or with someone who requires additional support on social media, meaning that you also need to log into and access content for them too.

You can’t possibly do all of this from the same profile – it just doesn’t make sense.

Which is why more users than ever are now asking how many account it’s possible to have.

The Account Limit Per Device

It is perfectly possible to have and manage more than one account on TikTok – in fact, for those with different interests and varying business assets, it is actively encouraged.

However, you can only have up to three accounts logged in at any one time on a single device.

This essentially means that you can flick between up to three different accounts on a single device, but any more accounts will need to be independently accessed or accessed on another device.

For reference, each new account that you create and open will need a unique username. If you use the same login email and information for multiple accounts, you can flick between them with ease from within the TikTok app, by clicking on your username and selecting a different account to open.

How Many Accounts Should You Have?

The recommendation on the number of accounts you should have on TikTok varies, based on your time allowance and the different types of account and content that you want to create and manage.

Typically, the more accounts you have the more diluted the content. This means that the quality of your content could be subject to wane if you don’t put enough time into each account.

Another thing to note is that while there is no definitive limit on how many different accounts you can have, provided you split them across multiple devices, TikTok will recognise spam activity which includes mass following and sharing the same content across multiple accounts.

With all this in mind, are multiple accounts something that you’re interested in for your various ventures and businesses – or would you rather keep it simple with a single account?
