Do you want to let your followers know where you filmed a certain TikTok post?

Perhaps you want to help promote a local business, or pinpoint an exciting new destination that you’ve found and share it with your followers?

Whatever your reason for doing so, adding a location to your TikTok post can make it even more engaging – not to mention it can add extra context to the video that you share.

Here’s how to add a location to a TikTok post in 3 simple steps.

3 Steps to Add a Location to Your TikTok Post

  1. Create your TikTok video or post as normal
  2. On the final editing screen where the app invites you to add a caption and hashtags, tap on the ‘Location’ bar
  3. You can search for a specific location or use the built-in GPS to pinpoint where you are and the nearest attractions to you.

NOTE: The GPS system will track locations according to where you are when posting, so this can only be accurately used if you are posting from your target location. If not, you will need to search for it.

Once you’re happy that you’ve added the location correctly, you can share your post! It’s as simple as that!
