A TikTok subscription is one of the best and most sustainable ways of supporting a creator on TikTok.

By signing up to their subscription service, you support them both in content delivery and financially, giving them a steady income stream and letting them know that you value their content.

But what happens when you decide to cancel your subscription? Let’s take a closer look at the subscription structure and how it works.

Why Cancel a Subscription?

There are a number of reasons why you might decide to cancel a subscription on TikTok.

  • The subscription is not presenting good value – i.e., you are not getting enough in return for your subscription
  • The creator’s style or content has changed and is nothing something that you are interested in anymore. Alternatively, your interests may have changed, meaning that their content is not something that you are interested in
  • The subscription is proving too pricey for you
  • Something else!

Whatever your reason for cancelling, subscribing to a creator’s channel is not the only way to support them. Meaning that even if you do cancel your subscription, you can still support the creator through gifts, by sharing and engaging with their content, and by joining in on their Live streams.

Cancelling a Subscription in 3 Steps

  1. Navigate to your profile page on TikTok and click on the menu button in the top right hand corner, indicated by the three horizontal lines
  2. Select ‘Settings and Privacy’ then ‘Account Management’
  3. Select ‘Subscriptions’

From there, you can pause or cancel subscriptions.

In order to build your own subscriber channel and to start making money from subscribers, you need to head to your profile settings and select ‘Creator Tools’.

Find ‘Subscription’ in the pop up menu and you will be taken to a page upon which you can start building your creator profile and subscription offer.

We hope this helps. Subscriptions are a fun way to support creators and to build even more of a community hub within your industry or around your chosen niche and topic. Having said that, if you are paying for one that you cannot afford or no longer want to pay to support, you can cancel the subscription in just a few short steps.

Happy subscribing!
