How to Change Age on Instagram

Unless you are vastly underage or enter a birth date which is decades out when creating your profile, the chances are that even an incorrect age will not particularly impact your experience when using Instagram.

However, mistakes can happen – and when they do, you may find that you want to update your age on Instagram to be correct. If this is the case, then you’ve come to the right article, as we dissect how to change your age on Instagram in a handful of short steps.

3 Steps to Change Your Age on Instagram

1. Head to your Instagram profile page and click on ‘Settings and Privacy’

2. Select ‘Accounts Centre’ and then scroll down to ‘Personal Details’

3. Here you will see information about how to contact you, as well as your date of birth. You can easily edit your date of birth within these settings

Once you’ve adjusted your date of birth, you may find that your experience is adjusted according to your correct age. This will only really be noticeable if your age was significantly out – for example, changing the generation that Instagram categorises you under.

We hope that this helps to further improve your Instagram experience and ensure that you keep seeing the right content for you.
