How to Find Your Search History
Your search history can be found by tapping on the magnifying glass in the top right hand corner of your homepage on the TikTok app.
Any previous searches will be listed towards the top of the screen. The list below which sits under the heading ‘You May Like’ is influenced by this search history and by the kinds of videos that you watch and engage with while browsing on TikTok.
The more you use the app, the more attuned it becomes to your viewing habits and interests.
3 Steps to Delete Your Search History
- Once confronted with your search history, you can use the individual ‘X’ buttons to the right hand side of each search term to delete it
- Tap on ‘See More’ to reveal the full list of your search history]
- Once you have the full list open, you can either manually delete each search term or tap on ‘Clear All’ at the bottom of the list to wipe your search history completely
And voila! Once your search history has been deleted you can start from scratch, building a new search history to help frame future recommended videos and things that TikTok deems relevant to your in-app behaviour.
