  2. Setting up a new business account from scratch

4 Steps to Open a New Business Account

  1. Head to the Sign Up for TikTok page on your internet browser, or download the app
  2. Once you’ve created your account username, head to your settings and select ‘Switch to Business Account’
  3. Choose the category that compliments your business and industry
  4. Start creating content for your brand or business, using analytics to help inform and personalise your experience

How to Turn an Existing Account Into a Business Account

If you’ve been using TikTok for a while as a personal account holder but want to start accessing and unlocking the benefits and insights that business account holders get, you can quickly and easily change your account in your settings.

  1. Click on the menu button in the top right hand corner of your profile page, indicated by the three horizontal lines
  2. Select ‘Settings and Privacy’ then ‘Account’ at the top of the menu list
  3. Select ‘Switch to Business Account’ and complete the required information

Once you have a business account active, you can start accessing analytics and gear your content towards follower conversion.
