Avid TikTok users will know all about favouriting content and posts that you see and want to save to access again at a later date. These favourites are moved into a grid folder on your profile page, where you can quickly find and view them as required.
Collections offer a means of organising these favourited videos and TikTok posts into different folders. Users can change the name of each collection in line with the kind of videos and posts that you save, accessing different collections as required.
But what happens when you no longer need a particular collection?
Why Would You Delete a Collection?
If you are organising an event, for example, and create a collection that’s dedicated to ideas and inspiration, then you might find that you want to delete that collection when the event is over.
Similarly, you might have a wide range of collections and decide to compile them into a smaller number of folders – or simply go through and purge the number of TikTok posts that you’ve saved for future reference.
Whatever your reasoning, deleting a collection is quick and easy and can be done in three quick steps.
3 Steps to Delete a Collection
- Head to your profile page on TikTok and navigate to the Favourites grid
- Click on ‘Collections’ and then select the collection you want to delete
- Tap on the share icon, which is indicated by a sweeping arrow, and select ‘Delete Collection’
Once a collection has been deleted, the videos which were saved inside it will still remain in your favourites grid – they will simply no longer be filed away into a collection. So, deleting a collection does not mean you lose all of those videos.
