TikTok Live is a great feature for creators and influencers who are keen to maximise their engagement and interaction with followers. Not only does it form a platform through which followers can send gifts to their favourite creators, but it enables creators to hear directly from their followers in real-time, answering questions and opening up conversations with their community.
The best way to spark this conversation is by inviting followers to send comments, questions, and opinions in the chat box.
But from a user / follower perspective, this box is not always beneficial. In fact, often it can simply get in the way of their enjoyment when watching a TikTok Live. This article is for those who want to be able to watch a Live without the experience being interrupted by countless comments and questions popping up on the screen…
3 Steps to Hide The Chat Box on a Live Stream
- Open the Live that you want to join
- Along the bottom of the screen, tap on the sweeping arrow icon
- Find the button that says ‘Clear Display’ along the bottom of the menu
Clicking on this button will remove all the text from the screen, including any gifts that other followers send, the chat box, and other details. All you will see is the content and the name of the creator.
NOTE: Every time you join a new live stream, you will have to follow these steps to clear your screen of distractions, as this is not a setting which remains in place.
Happy live streaming!
