Scheduling social media posts has long been a go-to for digital marketing teams and for creators and influencers who want to adhere to the need for regular and consistent content but who don’t have time to spend hours creating and posting content every day.

Being able to schedule content doesn’t just save time but it enables creators to focus their creative energy into a dedicated chunk of time – delivering cohesive videos which connect and link together to deliver an optimised experience for followers. Not to mention, it gives the creator the freedom to control when content is posted, in line with their target audience’s online behaviour and engagement stats.

Apps and sites like Hootsuite have long been popular with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media users. But how do you schedule posts on TikTok?

Introducing Video Scheduler

TikTok has recently rolled out a new feature for business account holders and creator, which enables them to schedule videos up to 10 days in advance.

While there are some limitations on this, specifically requiring you to login and schedule the content on a web browser rather than a portable or smartphone device, the benefits for these creators are clear.

5 Steps to Schedule a TikTok Using the Video Scheduler Tool

  1. Log into your TikTok account using a web browser
  2. Tap on the cloud ‘Upload’ icon which you will see in the top right hand corner of your screen
  3. Upload your TikTok video and make any edits as you normally would
  4. Switch on the ‘Schedule’ toggle and select a date and time for your TikTok to be posted
  5. Confirm that you are happy with the post and when it is scheduled to be shared, and click ‘Schedule’

And voila! Your post will be shared at the time specified, with a notification alerting you to its successful posting.

A quick note before we go, in follow up to some of the most common questions asked about this tool. The time zone for your TikTok and when it is shared to followers will default to your computer’s local time zone setting. If you are creating and posting content for an international or global audience, make sure that this is considered in your scheduling research and time selection.

It is also important to note that when a post has been scheduled, it cannot be amended or edited. To make changes to a scheduled post, you will need to delete and reupload it.

We hope this helps!
