How to Search on TikTok
If you know what kind of content you are looking for on TikTok, whether it’s a certain topic, a specific user / creator, or a trend you want to find out more about, then you need to familiarise yourself with the search tool.
Accessible from the TikTok home screen, the search tool boasts a magnifying glass icon and enables you to enter your own search terms or browse trending topics.
As soon as you start typing in the search bar, you will see suggestions ranging from top searched users and influencers, to topics, hashtags, and more. Once you click on the search or hit ‘Enter’, you will be automatically directed to the ‘Top’ grid of results. You can further filter the results you see by choosing to exclusively browse ‘Videos’, ‘Users’, ‘Sounds’, ‘Shop’, or ‘LIVE’ content as per your preference.
