Are you one of life’s multitaskers?
There are some smartphone users out there who are “one interaction at a time” people, while others can bridge time catching up with friends on Facetime, with doing other tasks.
Such as identifying and uncovering the latest trends on TikTok!
In this article, we’re sharing exactly how to search on TikTok while you’re on Facetime, so that the other caller doesn’t know you’re only half listening…
Why Use TikTok and Facetime at the Same Time?
There are a number of reasons why you might want to use both Facetime and TikTok together.
It could be that the person on the other end of your call is boring (sorry not sorry!)
Or it could be that you want to find a video to share with them, taking your conversation to a whole new level of interesting.
Whatever the reason, it is perfectly possible to search for and play TikTok videos while Facetime is open. Here’s how do to it.
5 Steps to Search TikTok During a Facetime
- While on Facetime, open the TikTok app
- Click on someone’s profile
- Select one of their videos and start watching it
- When the video fills the screen, a search bar will appear at the top of the page
- Click in this search bar and search for the content you want
This process bypasses the fact that standard search doesn’t work when a Facetime call is open on your device.
Of course, you could always share your screen or even browse TikTok on another device while facetiming, to completely pass over any issues with the user experience. However, the aforementioned process should get you to the video you’re looking for easily.
