Have you ever scrolled through Instagram and seen a post that you love or find really interesting – only to find that you can’t locate it again later?

There is nothing more annoying than searching for a post you viewed earlier having forgotten the username of the poster, especially when you didn’t engage with the post but want to find it again.

And that’s where the problem lies. Because if you didn’t engage with, like, or comment on the post when you saw it, then there is no way of filtering the post into a ‘recently viewed’ folder.

How to Make Sure a Post Is Findable

  1. Like or comment on the post, so that you can locate it in the ‘Activity’ folder in your settings
  2. Screenshot the post so that you can access it via your device camera roll
  3. Send the post to another user via DM
  4. Share the post to your story, where it will appear for 24 hours before being transferred to your story archive

Suffice to say, while it is not possible to filter posts and specifically access those that you have viewed recently, there are a few things that you can do to ensure you don’t lose valuable information or content.
