There are a number of different ways that followers can interact with your content, from reposting it on their own page to liking, commenting, or saving the video for later.

When a video or piece of content is saved within the app, it is added to the ‘Favourites’ section of the user’s own profile. Similarly, when they reshare a piece of content it appears on their profile.

But is there any way of seeing which users have saved or downloaded your content to their device for later?

The quick answer to this is no – you cannot see which users have saved your content. Having said that, if you don’t want your content to be accessible for saving or downloading, you can take steps to protect your videos.

How to Prevent Videos From Being Saved

  1. In the TikTok app, head to your profile and select the menu button in the top right hand corner, indicated by the three horizontal lines
  2. Select ‘Settings and Privacy’ from the menu
  3. Under ‘Account’, select ‘Privacy’ then ‘Downloads’
  4. In the ‘Downloads’ menu you will see a toggle which allows you switch video downloads on or off. If you want to prevent followers and users from being able to save your content, make sure that this toggle is off

And voila! Content that you have more control over, that you can keep safely protected on the TikTok app.

Which Engagement Stats Can You See

If you can’t see who saved your TikTok, what can you see?

  1. Via TikTok, you can easily see which users have favourited your content. This information can be accessed via the activity tab in your TikTok inbox.
  2. You can also see who has commented on or liked your content via the stats linked to each individual content upload.

So, while it may not be possible to see who has saved and downloaded your videos (if you leave them open and accessible to device downloads), you can easily see how engaging your followers find your content via a series of other stats.

We hope this helps you to identify your most engaging content – and your most engaged followers!
