Are you interested in learning more about who visits and views your profile?
In this article, we’re not just sharing a quick guide to turning on profile views, but also diving into why this information is important…
Why It’s Good to Know Who Viewed Your Profile
TikTok is a great place from which to launch a personal brand, and to either build your profile as an influencer or a business owner.
But in order to create content for your audience, you need to know who that audience is and what they are looking for. Which is where profile views come in.
Tracking your audience means not just seeing who visits your profile but when they come to your profile. Are you finding a spike in visitors after you post content, or do your followers search for your profile in a bid to find out if you’ve posted an update?
Seeing when people are visiting your profile, and who they are, can help you to tailor your content and your posting strategy and schedule.
NOTE: If you switch on profile views so that you can see who viewed your profile, any views that you make on other profiles will also be relayed back to them. So, this is a two way toggle that means the information you receive is also being passed on regarding your own activity.
3 Steps to Turn On Profile Views
- Head to your profile on TikTok and click on the three horizontal lines in the top right hand corner, which indicate the menu
- Select ‘Settings and Privacy’ then ‘Privacy’ in the main menu
- Find ‘Profile Views’ at the bottom of the list
Heading into ‘Profile Views’, you will see that this is either switched on or off. Turn it on if you want to find out more about who views your profile, with data available for views from the past 30 days.
We hope this helps you to learn more about your audience and finetune your TikTok strategy accordingly!
