With both Instagram and TikTok being primarily visual apps, both used by creators and budding influencers who want to expand their reach and boost their profile, it makes a lot of sense to link the accounts.
However, if you decide that you want to unlink your Instagram from TikTok – either because the two accounts are targeting separate audiences, or because you’re looking to build a new profile on either one of the two apps – then doing so is easy.
3 Steps to Unlink Instagram From TikTok
- Open your TikTok app
- Navigate to your profile page and select ‘Edit Profile’
- If your Instagram account is linked, then you will see it listed next to the ‘Instagram’ option under ‘Links’
From here you can unlink your account and start using TikTok and Instagram as two separate social profiles.
The process is the same for linking your Instagram account to TikTok – but in reverse. To add a profile and connect your two social media accounts, simply click next to ‘Instagram’ and sign in on the page that opens to link your two accounts.
It’s as easy as that!
