We’re back with another terminology lesson for TikTok.

While some of the terms, phrases, and acronyms that we share and uncover make sense in some capacity outside of the platform, others are complete unknowns.

Rizz is one such term that we believe falls into the latter category – that is, we had no idea what it meant until we looked it up!

On TikTok, rizz means charisma and an enviable ability to attract romantic interest.

How is Rizz Used on TikTok?

A slang term which is being increasingly used and shared across the platform by Gen Z users, when someone has “rizz” it means that they have high levels of charisma and are able to attract romantic attention from others.

In some instances, it is used as a measure of how likely someone is to successfully charm and flirt with a potential partner – with “rizz” a particular trait that does not necessarily equate to good looks.

How Widely Used is Rizz?

Rizz was spearheaded by online streamer and influencer Kai Cenat – though he now claims that TikTok has ruined the term due to overuse and misinterpretation. Despite this, #rizz as a hashtag has over 6 billion views on TikTok alone, making it something that plenty of users want to know more about!

A kind of compliment, someone with rizz is someone who has a natural charisma and charm about them. Who do you know with “rizz” – and do you think it’s a good thing or a bad thing?
