What Is The Meaning Of TBH On Instagram?
There are some Instagram acronyms which make little sense outside of the platform – and there are some that have simply been adopted by Instagram users, despite existing long before Instagram was launched.
TBH is one which falls into the latter category, as an acronym which has appeared and been used across countless platforms and communication apps over the years.
TBH stands for To Be Honest – and is a shorthand way of letting someone know that you are about to be incredibly transparent with them about something.
Of course, the uses of TBC vary exponentially. Some use it sarcastically, others use it to preclude complete honesty, and others still use it as a way to give compliments.
There have even been cases where younger Instagram users adopt TBH under a different definition, instead using it as a shorthand for ‘To Be Heard’. However, this is not as widely recognised.
