If you’ve started on a TikTok and find yourself interrupted partway through the creative and editing process, you might decide to save your content as a draft and return to it later.
But do you know how and where to find your drafts?
This might seem like a silly question – but hear us out because your drafts aren’t as quick to find as you might think.
Did You Know…
For example, did you know that if you start creating a TikTok on one device and then try to access the draft from a different device, it won’t appear?
This is because drafts are only saved and accessible on the device on which they were made – meaning you cannot flick from one device to another when setting up your TikTok content.
So, if you start creating a TikTok on your phone, you need to follow the draft-finding process on that same phone.
Where to Find Drafts
In order to access your drafts, you need to bypass the plus sign which indicates a new piece of content, and instead head to your profile.
Here you will find a Drafts folder in your grid, which essentially forms a collection of videos that you haven’t yet posted. In this collection folder, find the draft that you want to continue working on and click on it. This will open it into full screen mode, where you can start editing it as normal.
Once complete, you can either post it straight away or save it back into your drafts folder to post at a later date!
Suffice to say, drafts may not be where you expect them to be – and there many be some restrictions on the device that you can access and open them on – but once you find them, they’re very easy to edit and work with!
