Profile views is a feature that allows TikTok users to see who has viewed their profile in the past 30 days.
Turning on this feature activates a two-way system, whereby you can not only see who viewed your profile, but users whose profiles you visit will also have access to this information.
In short, if you want to see who viewed your profile, you also have to allow TikTok to share information about your own profile visits and searches.
But what happens when profile views aren’t working, and the information isn’t visible?
Are You Eligible for Profile Views?
Believe it or not, profile views is a feature with some eligibility criteria – namely the need for users to be over 16 years old in order to access the information, and to have less than 5,000 followers on their account.
So, if you are under 16 or have in excess of 5,000 followers, you will not be able to access this feature and find out who viewed your profile.
How to Fix the Problem
If you cannot see profile views on TikTok but believe that you should be eligible, then you will need to try one of the following:
- Contact TikTok support and ask for advice
- Create a new TikTok account with an updated or correct birth date linked with your account
- Create a new TikTok account that will have less than the maximum 5,000 followers
You might be reading this and thinking that 5,000 followers isn’t that many, especially to sit as a maximum number. However, if you want to be able to see who viewed your profile, you will need your follower count to fall under this number.
And don’t forget, in order to see who viewed your profile, you also need to be happy to share your own profile searches and views with other users.
