TikTok is known for having one of the best and most comprehensive backend algorithms of any social media app.

Your Video Is Under Review
Perhaps the most obvious reason why your latest video might not be appearing in your followers’ feeds, is that it’s under review.
This will often be the case if your video contains content which could be deemed inappropriate, with moderators needing to check the content before your video is shared. It could also simply be a periodic check of your content following a period of regular posting, with the best thing to do being to wait it out and see if your TikTok is approved for posting.
You’ve Been Shadow Banned
A shadow ban occurs if your content or behaviour on TikTok is flagged to the app. The kind of behaviour that can result in a shadow ban includes spam, over-posting, excessive commenting or following, and sharing content that violates TikTok’s guidelines.
If your shadow ban seems unfair to you then you should flag it with TikTok. If not, take a step back from using the app for a few days.
The Algorithm Has Changed
A change in the algorithm might simply mean that your content is pushed aside in favour of something new. This can change on a regular basis and doesn’t mean that your content isn’t valuable – only that a new trend may have uncrowned it.
If you want your content to be consistently viewed as high in quality and value, bridge original videos with your own take and variation on trends.

If you’re finding that your videos aren’t appearing to followers, then double check that your video is available to all followers and isn’t set to ‘Only Me’ on the visibility setting.
If you’re concerned about why more users aren’t finding and following your profile as a result of your videos, you should also check that your account is set to Public rather than Private. If your account is Private, then you will find that videos are only accessible to existing followers and to those who you approve. While good for privacy, this is not conducive to profile growth and to increasing visibility of your videos beyond your existing community.
