How to Delete All TikTok Comments

If you decide it’s time for a TikTok refresh, there are a few things you will likely want to do. These include removing both your videos and any comments that are linked back to your account and your content.

In this article, we’re taking you through two different journeys to delete all TikTok comments – including other users’ comments on your videos, and your comments on other posts.

How to Delete All Comments on Your TikTok Post

If you have posted a TikTok that has earned some unsavoury, unwanted, or simply unnecessary comments, you can delete them easily with these simple steps:

1. Click on the speech bubble icon to the right hand side of the screen
2. A list of comments will appear
3. You can delete a single comment by pressing and holding, then selecting ‘Delete’ from the pop up menu. Alternatively, to delete multiple or all of the comments, tap on the pencil icon at the top of the comments list and select all the comments you want to delete

While the above steps take you through the process of deleting comments for good, if you want to remove access to all the comments on a video in one simple movement, the best thing to do is Hide All Comments on the video.

To do this, tap on the three dots at the bottom of the icons list down the right hand side of the video screen. Select ‘Privacy Settings’ from the pop up menu and switch off the ‘Allow Comments’ toggle.

As soon as you switch off the toggle, all existing comments are hidden, and new comments are blocked.

How to Delete Comments You Have Posted

In order to delete the comments that you have posted on another users’ TikTok video or content, you need to find the posts where your comments are and delete them manually.

To find all the comments that you have left on different TikTok posts, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to your profile page on TikTok and click on the menu button in the top right hand corner, indicated by three horizontal lines
2. Select ‘Settings and Privacy’ then ‘Activity Centre’
3. Tap on ‘Comment History’ to open a list of all the comments you have left, and the content linked with those comments

From here, you can delete the comments and remove your connection to that TikTok post with ease.
