How to Block Someone on Facebook Who Has Already Blocked You

The standard way to block someone on Facebook is to head to their profile, select the button with the three dots located underneath their cover photo, and click on ‘Block’ from the menu list that appears.

But what do you do when the person who you want to block, has already blocked you and thereby prevented you from accessing their profile?

3 Steps to Block Someone Who Has Blocked You

1. Click on the menu button in the bottom right hand corner of your Facebook screen, to open your Facebook Settings
2. Under the ‘Audience and Visibility’ heading, select ‘Blocking’
3. Click on the button labelled ‘Add to Blocked List’

From here, you can search for the name of a Facebook contact and add them to your blocked list on the platform – crucially, without having to visit their profile page.

What Happens When You Block a Facebook User?

When you block someone on Facebook, they can no longer see your content or updates or visit your profile page. The only content that they can see is the comments which you post on content shared by a mutual friend who you are both connected with.

Similarly, when you are blocked by another user, you will not be able to see their profile or view their updates on your feed.

We hope this helps you to understand the process of blocking someone, how to overcome the inability to visit the profile of someone who has blocked you already, and exactly what happens when blocking a user.
