How to Download Private Facebook Videos

Downloading a Facebook video is typically done by copying the link to a video and then pasting that link into a Facebook Video Downloader tool online.

And believe it or not, the process is much the same for a private video; you simply need to find the right third party app or tool that will download the video for you.

Of course, there are other ways of sharing private videos which we will cover in this article. But let’s first discuss the best way to copy the link and then download a video via the download apps.

How to Copy a Video Link Ready to Download

At the bottom of the video you will see the engagement options.

To find and copy the link to the video, select the ‘Share’ button and find the option to ‘Copy Link’.

If you want to download the video, you can then paste the link into a downloader tools or website online and turn the video into a file on your device.

Other Ways to Save a Video on Facebook

If the video is private, then you will only be able to send it to those users who are also friends with the poster. Anyone who isn’t friends with the original creator and poster of the video will not be able to view it.

If this is the case, your options are to screen record the video and save it as a file on your device or ask the original creator to send you a copy of the video directly! You never know what they’ll say until you ask!

We hope this helps.
