How to Edit a Comment on Facebook

If you leave a comment on a Facebook post or video, then upon reading it back realise that it makes no sense or contains a spelling mistake, then you may be wondering exactly how to edit it (and if editing it is possible!)

Spoiler alert: editing a comment is 100% possible, and also very easy to do!

3 Steps to Edit a Comment on a Post

If you have left a comment on someone else’s post that you want to edit or change, follow these steps…

1. Navigate to the post and find your comment underneath the post
2. Press and hold on the text of your comment
3. Select ‘Edit’ from the pop up menu that appears

This will open your comment in a text box, allowing you to change the text and add extra emojis or details that you want to add.

And voila! Once saved, the new comment will replace your old one. It really is as simple as that!
