Have you ever gone searching for a reel that you saw on an earlier occasion, only to find that its disappeared into the world of the algorithm?
It can often feel like there’s no rhyme or reason behind the reels that Instagram chooses to put into your newsfeed and those it hides from you. Which is why being able to access previously liked reels is such a popular feature on the app.
Here is a quick guide on how to find the reels that you have liked on Instagram, in 5 steps.
5 Steps To Find Previously Liked Reels
- On your profile page, click on the menu button in the top right hand corner of the screen (indicated by the three horizontal lines)
- Click on ‘Your Activity’
- From the list of interactions to choose from, select ‘Likes’
- You will now see a grid of posts that you have liked on Instagram, automatically visible in order with the most recent like at the top. You can change this order or access specific dates using the tools along the top of the grid
- To find liked reels specifically, click on the dropdown option which reads ‘All Content Types’ and select ‘Reels’. The automatic default is to show you all of your liked content, but doing this will remove any static posts and leave you with a grid of reels that you have liked in the past
You can browse and scroll through these to your hearts content, finding all of the content that you saw, liked, and then thought was lost to the algorithm!
