Instagram reels are easy to make and fun to engage with. The perfect way to tap into specific trends and create content that could very easily go viral (with the backing of the right marketing campaign and a popular overriding concept), reels are becoming more popular every day.
And if you’re anything like us, then you’ll know just how addictive scrolling through reels can be.
In this blog, we’re focussing on one specific area of Instagram reels – where they go when you hit save, and how you can find them again!
Where Do Saved Reels Go?
When you save a reel post, it is sent to an album of posts that you have saved in the past.
The benefit of this is that saved posts are super easy to find – which is why so many Instagram users access the saved function as a way of bookmarking content that they want to access again at some point.
You may have seen business and creator accounts that use the save function as part of a giveaway or competition – asking followers to save the post in order to enter. Their intention is to draw user’s focus back towards their profile and their content at a later date – trying to manufacture the same inspiration that many of us use the ‘Saved’ tool for.
This album of saved reels and posts can be found from your profile page.
5 Steps to Find Saved Reels
- Head to your profile page
- Click on the menu button in the top right hand corner of the screen
- Select ‘Saved’
- For most users, the screen will display a single “Collection” labelled ‘All Posts’. Unless you are an avid user of the saved feature, and manually control where posts are sent, this is where all of your saved reels will be hiding. Click on the ‘All Posts’ collection.
- Underneath the ‘All Posts’ heading, select the video icon which exclusively denotes Reels content
And there you have it – a grid with all of the reels that you have saved in the past and considered worthy of returning to at a later date!
