If you’re posting a story and want to inject a little bit of personality and extra colour to a photo or text-heavy update, then you might decide to add a sticker.
On Instagram, stickers come in many different forms. They can be location tags, polls, music boxes, links, hashtags, shopping links, or basic image outlines – whatever you want to add life to your content and connect your update with the overall goal or intention. Typically, these stickers make content more engaging, either by encouraging specific action or by making a post more shareable and interesting.
Safe to say, the reason for using Instagram stickers is clear. But how do you find them?
3 Steps To Add Stickers To Your Stories
- On your profile page, click on the plus sign in the square box which is located along the top of your screen. Select ‘Story’ to create a new story
- Either take, or select, a photo that you want to become the background of your story. If you’re creating a text heavy story update or want your sticker to become the focal point, place your finger over the lens to capture a black screen and go from there.
- On the edit screen, click on the smiley face square with the turned up corner. This is your stickers icon.
Once you’ve tapped on the stickers icon, you will see a whole range of options and things that you can add to your story. Select the options that are best suited to your content and finalise your story ready for posting!
