If you manage a business or creator account or meet someone when you’re out and want to be able to quickly send them a link to your Instagram, then this is the article for you.

Sure, you can tell them your username and hope that they find you via the search bar – but with so many different variations on the same and similar names across the app, it is often easier to generate a share a unique and specific link.

Here’s how to find the URL link to your profile.

  1. Open your profile page
  2. Click on ‘Share Profile’ – a button which is directly underneath your bio
  3. This will open a screen with a large QR code in the centre and two buttons underneath. You can either ‘Share Profile’ which will send a link to your profile via your choice of share options, or you can ‘Copy Link’ which can then be copied and sent anywhere.

TOP TIP: The QR code is a great way to quickly allow users to find your Instagram profile, particularly in a physical location if you are a shop or business. Printing this QR code or making it scannable on your website will seamlessly guide users directly to your Instagram profile.

What all of this tells us is that we can generate and share QR codes or URL links to our Instagram profile, to help potential followers find our accounts with ease.
