More and more Facebook users are sharing wall posts and comments with an avatar attached. A visual representation of the user, often portraying a specific emotion or supporting a comment or message, these avatars are created directly by the user as an animated version of them.
When sharing a comment or post, your avatar is available with a broad selection and variety of emotions and backgrounds – making even the simplest of posts feel more colourful and more visual.
So, how do you make one?
5 Steps to Make an Avatar
- Click on the menu button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, then tap the search bar
- Search for ‘Avatars’ and click on the option which appears above a tagline ‘Create Personalised Stickers…’
- If you already have an avatar, then you can edit via the ‘Edit Avatar’ button – or else you can start creating new buttons and expressive backgrounds that breathe life in the avatar and explore different emotions and feelings
- If you want to create one, tap on ‘Create Avatar’ and start personalising the figure so that it reflects your look
- Changes to the hair, face shape, outfit, features, and body can all help you to build an avatar which is an accurate yet playful representation of you
Once created, your avatar will remain in the background of your Facebook account, available as and when you want to share comments and updates with a visual aid.
Happy creating!
