4 Steps to Post a Link on Facebook
- The first thing you need to do in order to post a link on Facebook is copy the link from the URL of the site that you are on. You need to do this on the same device that you use to access and post to Facebook – as copying the link will save it to your device clipboard ready to be pasted in your chosen destination
- Open the Facebook app on your device and click on the ‘What’s on Your Mind’ box at the top of the feed
- Click in the text box and then press and hold in the box with one finger
- Select ‘Paste’ from the pop up box that appears
Your link will now be pulled into the Facebook post.
A preview may appear at the bottom of the post depending on the website. You can click on the small ‘X’ to remove this preview and leave just the link in your text box, or you can share the link with the preview.
Either way, the link shared in your post will be clickable once your update appears on the Facebook feed – so that friends and followers can visit the link themselves and interact with the site you’ve shared.
