When another user uploads a photo of you on Facebook, they may choose to tag you in the picture.
A tag means that the photo is displayed with your name attached to it, creating a clickable link and connecting you with the poster and with other tagged users in the photo. While there are various privacy settings that mean some users need to approve tags before they appear, typically the idea is that a friend can upload a photo of you and be able to tag you in it for a better community experience.
In this article, we’re sharing how to find the photos that you have been tagged in on Facebook, and how to find photos that other users have been tagged in – starting with your own images.
Finding Your Own Tagged Photos
Click on the menu button in the bottom right hand corner of your Facebook screen and then select your name, to navigate to your profile page.
Just above your main details, click on the ‘Photos’ heading.
The first album will be labelled ‘Tagged Photos’. Click on this.
You will now see a feed with all the photos that you’ve been tagged in on Facebook, displayed in chronological order according to when the photos were posted. These tagged photos include images that you have tagged yourself in, and that you have been tagged in by others.
NOTE: If you activate the setting that means you have to revie and approve tags before they appear, this is done via your Notifications. Photos do not appear in your tagged photos until you approve them.
Finding Another User’s Tagged Photos
To find the photos that another user is tagged in, you will need to head to their profile and then follow the same instructions as above.
To find photos that you have been tagged in together, click on the three dots button on the main page of their profile and then select ‘See Friendship’. On your Friendship screen, you can click on ‘See All’ to view al the images and photos that you are tagged in together.
