How to Shadowbox on TikTok

Have you heard of the Shadowbox trend on TikTok?

This trend is actually a game, which sees two people coming face to face with a series of complex movements in the hopes of catching each other out.

A game which is not unlike the classic ‘Rock Paper Scissors’, users take it in turns to point in one direction. The aim of the game is for the user opposite them to turn their head in the opposite direction.

So, if player one points right, then player two turns their head to the right – therefore looking in the opposite direction to where their opponent is pointing.

Shadowboxing is super simple, though players can make it increasingly complicated with more players and with a series of moves in one go, rather than taking it in turns to perform a single point each.

Oh, and while we’re diving into the rules of the game and how to get involved in the shadowboxing trend, it’s worth noting that this game is also called ‘Ish’ in some circles.

How to Win a Shadowbox Challenge

The aim of the game is to look in the opposite direction to where your opponent is pointing.

To win the game, you need to continue to tun your head in the opposite direction, while also trying to catch them out. Moves can include left and right points, as well as up and down points.

We hope this helps you to make a little more sense out of shadowboxing on TikTok!
