How to Tag Yourself in a Post
The process for tagging yourself in a post will depend on whose post it is.
Your own posts do not require a tag, as you are the user named at the start of the post.
If you want to tag yourself in someone else’s post, you will either need to ask them to tag you or add a comment that starts with the ‘@’ symbol and then your name.
NOTE: In order to make a tag clickable and to make it easy for other users to click straight through to your profile, you must include the ‘@’ symbol and then select your profile from the dropdown list that appears as you start typing your name. This is the only way that your name will become a clickable link.
How to Tag Yourself in Someone Else’s Photo
Did you know that you can tag yourself in a photo uploaded by another user?
To do this, simply click to open the photo in full screen mode, and then select the tag icon along the top of the image. You can then click anywhere on the photo and search for your own profile, selecting it to add the tag.
Depending on the privacy setting of the original poster, they may have to accept your tag in order for it to appear on the photo. Either way, though, adding this tag yourself is a way to remind them to credit you in their post.
