Audiences at the Meta Connect Conference were given a first look at new AI technology updates this week, including the rollout of Meta’s own AI agent called Muse, and improvements to Meta’s AI glasses and VR headsets.
These announcements highlight Meta’s increased investment in AI as well as its pivot away from purely experiential AI and towards everyday tools and functions.
What Are Meta’s AI Priorities in 2026?
The Connect Conference announcements focussed on the improvements to Meta’s ‘Muse’ agent – essentially an AI tool that users can personalise and tap into for everything from personal research to travel planning, shopping, tracking communications and plans with friends, and more. Among the updates, Meta shared that Muse will soon be integrated with more voice options for a bespoke experience and is being connected with a growing number of brand partnerships including names like Gap, Sephora, and travel site Expedia.
Other updates included the rollout of new AI glasses for creating on-trend authentic content which meets strict privacy standards, and improved VR headsets that are more streamlined in design and usage.
How Creators Can Leverage These Updates
Suffice to say, Meta’s investment in AI will improve user experiences with wearable tech and Meta’s AI agent. But how can these updates be used to generate profile growth and increased engagement?
The rise of wearable tech in particular is great for audience growth, as it facilitates and encourages unique and authentic content. Muse, meanwhile, is a valuable source of inspiration that connects your profile with your audience and relieves time consuming tasks from your to-do list by increasing automation and productivity. Leaving you free to focus on what really matters: audience growth, engagement, and conversion.
