Filter Your Instagram DMs with New Meta Update

A new update from Meta is making Instagram DMs easier for users to sort and manage, using a range of extra filter options.

There are various new filters that can be used within the Instagram DM platform to sort messages – from viewing story replies to unread messages, unanswered sent messages, those who are followers, and those messages which have been sent by verified users.

For those who struggle to keep on top of their messages, especially those from new followers and potential followers, this is a great way to ensure every segment of your community is being recognised and responded to.

And the updates don’t end there, with Instagram also empowering users and creators to create their own message folders so that they can sort individual correspondences in a way that suits them.

The Power of a DM Strategy

Instagram creators and business owners will tell you that a good DM strategy is integral to growth and to the formation of a loyal community.

This means not only receiving messages but responding to them in a timely manner – letting your community know you care about their interactions. This rollout of new filters means that creators can sort their messages more efficiently.
