TikTok Implements New AI-Limiting Option

Are you fed up of wondering if something on your feed is a genuine video or has been generated by AI? TikTok is implementing a new user option that allows individuals to limit the amount of AI content they will see on their feed – prioritising authentic, high-value content once again.

How Can Users Stop AI Content Coming Through?

The new option is being embedded into the ‘Manage Topics’ page on their TikTok settings, with a sliding scale for interest in AI-generated content set amongst the topic filters and various settings.

While it is impossible for TikTok to accurately recognise every single AI video, meaning that some will still inevitably break through the management barrier, using this tool should enable users to transition their feed back towards genuine content.

Which is great news for creators and those looking to build their community and engagement!

How is TikTok AI Content Made?

There are various tools out there that allow users to generate AI-filtered content for TikTok. However, these are soon to be slapped with watermarks that mean TikTok can more easily spot this content and where it has been made – making it easier for the app to be even more precise with its content filtering.

How do you feel about AI content? Does it interest and inspire you, or will you be capping it as soon as the sliding scale appears on your Topic Manager page?
