AI glasses are the next big thing in the world of wearable tech – with Meta announcing a new line of these glasses at its two-day conference, alongside other tech.
The line of AI glasses puts important information front and centre of the wearers viewpoint, by overlaying a small screen on the inside of each lens. This viewing window is controlled using a connected wristband; another development from Meta that seeks to bring technology firmly into our daily routines.
The practical applications for such glasses vary hugely, with creators faced with an opportunity to film authentic content from their own perspective – drawing in more views and engagement from followers who value that “day in the life” style content.
What Else Has Meta Announced?
A supplementary accessory to the AI glasses, the wristband is another piece of tech that has become more intuitive. Everyday uses include sending messages and making calls with simple gestures, controlling the AI glasses, and transferring air writing onto the screen.
And AR / VR had its own moment in the spotlight, with Meta set to release its own augmented and virtual reality solutions next year.
Meanwhile though, AI glasses have been the biggest announcement of the conference so far and are scheduled for release on 30th September.
