Not all TikTok trends focus on dance challenges and musical hits. Some of the most popular audio clips are one-liners that creators and users build into their own content – taking a popular phrase of clip and adding their own context with a comedic or poignant video.
The ‘I got deported by 6’ audio statement is one which first appeared on TikTok in July 2023 and became used over 70,000 times in the space of a month.
But what does it mean – and who is 6?
Introducing the Viral ‘6’ Audio Clip
The clip derives from an original video posted by a TikTok user called @prodby668.
The use of the number ‘6’ is short for ‘668’ – with @prodby668 a music producer who uses a common audio trait at the start of all of their beats and videos. Most of these audio traits use the phrase ‘I got X by 6’ – with the X representing anything from ‘deported’ to ‘sued’, ‘mugged’, and more.
Over time, this producers audio clips and tracks were compiled into one seamless TikTok video, with different Roblox characters representing each new sound.
Thus, the concept has sparked a trend used by creators who share outfit changes and who share lip sync videos. It has even appeared on South Park – showing the incredible rise and spread of trends which can quickly go viral on TikTok and across pop culture as a whole.
We hope this answers some of your questions – and perhaps inspires you to go off to TikTok in search of some of @prodby668’s beats!
