Instagram and its parent company Meta have now created an avatar library for each user, which allows individuals to change their avatar’s look based on their mood, situation, or the kind of “self” they want to present to the online world.
What Are Meta Avatars?
Avatars have long been a way for users to generate a small cartoon-like embodiment of themselves for use on Meta’s platforms.
Users get to choose the body shape and composition, hair, facial features, and outfit of their avatar – using that avatar to display close up emojis and full body reactions.
This latest update means that those who like to change up their real-world appearance can do the same online; presenting a different self to different audiences.
