If you know anything about marketing, you will know that different typefaces and fonts have different impacts on the audience.

Bold text helps to draw attention towards certain words and phrases, with this and other typefaces changing the way that text is read and the tone in which it is received. In fact, it’s something we do ourselves – changing the look of specific sentences and phrases, so as to catch the eye and draw attention to the most important parts of a post.

So, how do you create and add bold text to a Facebook post, in order to control the way it is read and interpreted?

3 Steps to Add Bold Text to Facebook Post

There is no dedicated button or feature in Facebook which allows users to change the font or typeface – leaving us with one only main process to follow.

  1. Click on the ‘What’s On Your Mind’ box on your Facebook feed to start a new post
  2. Type your text out, and then highlight it all and copy it into a font generator tool online (Alternatively, you can type and create the post directly in one of these tools)
  3. Once you’ve got the words and phrases that you need in a bold font, copy and paste it into your text box field in the Facebook app

And voila! When shared, your post will now showcase some of those words and phrases in a bold font.

It’s worth noting here, before we leave you to explore this and other online tools, that not every user on every device will be able to see the bold text. In some cases, text that you have transferred to a bold font will appear as normal or will not appear at all.

This process is a quick and easy one to follow if you are sharing some marketing text and want to highlight certain points, or if you want to change the way a certain part of your post is read and interpreted.

Happy creating!
