Born and raised outside of Islamabad, Nikka developed a fascination with technology at an early age. She followed that passion after completing school in Pakistan, coming to the United States to continue her studies on a full scholarship at the University of Notre Dame. Nikka pursued a dual major in Engineering and Computer Science, writing her senior thesis on recent developments in the architecture of social media digital platforms and graduating magna cum laude.
Her deep interest in the burgeoning online world led Nikka to begin a career writing about tech and the Internet for several major U.S. newspapers in Chicago and New York. Her writing was widely praised for being able to explain complex subjects in understandable and engaging language, and her services were highly sought-after by both industry and mainstream publications.
However, Nikka was being drawn in a different direction: social media consulting. Her expertise had made her a star in the online tech world. And as Instagram became a dominant social platform, she was one of the world’s most knowledgeable sources on the subjects of Instagram’s technical operations, its internal algorithms, and the app’s rising influence on consumer behavior.
She began a new career as a strategic consultant, working with numerous social media startups and businesses looking to maximize their impact on Instagram. Nikka’s ability to merge data-driven insights with content strategies, combined with her creativity and overall technical expertise, made her a superstar once again.
Major corporations have called on Nikka to craft trend-setting digital campaigns that furthered brand-building, sales, and revenue, and she has worked with many of Instagram’s most influential personalities and celebrities to grow their brands, partnerships, revenue opportunities, and importance to new heights.
Nikka’s work has established her as a world-renowned thought leader in social media and Instagram marketing, but she still enjoys writing. Her regular contributions to the Twicsy blog provide easy-to-read, innovative, and actionable information for readers, and give her a free-wheeling outlet for her thought-provoking and insightful commentary on Instagram strategies, technology, society, and success.
Nikka has become an American citizen and lives with her family in New York.
