Interested to see how you’ve been spending your time on Facebook in recent weeks or months?
Then look no further than this article – as we dive deep into your activity log, letting you know where to find it and how to interpret it.
What Is the Activity Log on Facebook?
To put it simply, your Activity Log is a menu on Facebook that is visible only to you, that lets you know about all your recent activity on the platform.
Using the various menus and filters, you can view your comments and reactions, posts, updates that you’ve been tagged in, saved items, messages you’ve sent, and more – not to mention information about the groups you’ve joined and the pages you’ve engaged with.
It is a culmination of everything you have done on Facebook – and even contains an archive folder of things that you’ve sent to archive within the last 30 days.
Quickest Way to View Recent Activity
To view your most recent activity in chronological order, navigate to the Activity Log (as per the process outlined in the next section of this article) and then select the grey button labelled ‘Activity History’ along the top of the screen.
Here you will see everything that you have done on Facebook, starting from the most recent date and working backwards as you scroll.
3 Steps to Find Your Activity Log
Now that we know a bit more about the activity log, its purpose and how to interpret and filter all the content and data found within this log, let’s take a look at the process of actually finding this log.
- Click on the menu button in the bottom right hand corner of your screen
- Select ‘Settings and Privacy’ from the pop up menu and then ‘Settings’
- Scroll down until you find the ‘Activity Log’ option, listed under the heading ‘Your Activity’
Once inside the log, you can unlock as much information as you like about your past engagement on Facebook, the days you’ve been most active, and more.
We hope this helps!
