If you are someone who would usually click through to individual friend’s profiles in order to unfollow, block, or even unfriend them, then this article is for you.

There is actually a much quicker way of deleting friends who you know you don’t want to connect with on Facebook anymore – allowing you to delete multiple individuals from one set menu.

Here’s how to do it…

5 Steps to Delete Friends Quickly

  1. Click on the menu button in the bottom right hand corner of your Facebook app
  2. Select the ‘Friends’ content block from the menu, and then click on the ‘Your Friends’ tab at the top of the page (NOTE: The default list will be Friend Requests that you have received. You can respond to these with a Confirm or Remove, or simply ignore them)
  3. In the ‘Your Friends’ list, scroll until you find the friend who you want to delete, or search for their name in the search bar at the top of the screen
  4. Select the three dots button to the right of their name
  5. To delete them as a friend, select the option ‘Unfriend XXX’

A pop up will appear, asking you to confirm if you want to remove them as a friend or not. Click ‘Confirm’ to delete them.

This will send you back to the friends list, where you can continue performing this friend purge until you have removed all the friends who you no longer want on your friends list.

We hope this helps. Your friends play a vital role in the community and connectivity of your Facebook experience, and while there are options to limit your visibility of their content and updates, and to limit how much they can interact with you, sometimes it’s easier to just delete them completely.
