If you come across a Facebook post that you want to print and keep, either for future reference or to show to someone who’s not on Facebook, you might be wondering what the best way to print a single post is.

While you could opt to screenshot the post on a mobile device or copy the text into a word document, by far the simplest method is to use a built-in function that Facebook has rolled out for this exact purpose.

Why Print a Facebook Post?

Before we dive into the process of printing a Facebook post, let’s first consider why you might want to do so.

One of the most common reasons to print a Facebook post is as a form of back up. While other users can delete their comments on your post at any time, printing the post and its comments at a specific time is a foolproof way of capturing the data as it stands. This means that, regardless of any comments that get deleted at a later date, you will always have a reference of the original post and its comments at the time of printing.

Another reason for printing a Facebook post is to share the post and its comments with someone who doesn’t use Facebook and other connected platforms.

Or it could be that you want to memorialise a specific post and the reactions to it, for future reference or as a keepsake.

Regardless of your reason for printing a post, here’s the process you need to follow to print the post and its comments…

4 Steps to Print a Facebook Post

  1. Find the post that you want to print
  2. Click on the ‘Share’ button in the bottom right hand corner of the post that you want to print
  3. Select ‘Copy Link’ to copy the post, its URL, and the comments attached to it
  4. Connect your device and browser to your printer, and select ‘Print View’

Once selected, the copied post should be transferred over to your printer. It will then print out complete with comments and reactions.

Alternatively, you can of course screenshot the post and its comments and paste these into a document or copy and paste all the text. However, the aforementioned Facebook integrated process is often the quickest and the easiest to navigate.

Happy printing!
