How Can You Tell if Someone Is on Facebook?
Searching for a friend’s name will soon let you know if they have a Facebook account or not. But how can you tell if someone is active on Facebook at the same time as you?
Well, the best way is through the separate Mesenger app – which places a green dot on their profile picture if they are currently active and online.
While there is a way to switch this off for optimised privacy, in most cases the green dot will let you know if someone is currently on Facebook.
NOTE: Being active on Facebook does not mean that they will see or immediately respond to any message you send them.
