There are tons of different content types on Facebook – some of which prove more successful than others.
A Slideshow is a kind of carousel post, which allows the user to scroll through a selection of different screens, images, or updates as part of a single post.
While the slideshow feature is available on some versions of the app and in some locations, it is not available everywhere. However, even if you can’t access the Slideshow tool in your post builder, you can still create the same kind of content via a carousel post or a reel.
Where to Find the Slideshow Creator
If you do have access to the Slideshow Creator, you will find it by clicking in the ‘What’s On Your Mind’ box at the top of the screen and then selecting the Slideshow option.
Once you click on this, you will be able to format and design each slide, before adding a caption and sharing it as a new post update.
Alternatives to the Slideshow Creator
If you don’t have access to the Slideshow feature, you can achieve the same kind of content using:
- Reel Creator
- Carousel Post
To create a carousel post, simply select multiple images and then add a caption. If you want to combine text and photos in each image, you can build these on third party apps like Canva and then upload them as individual images.
To create a reel, click on the plus sign at the top of the home screen on your Facebook app and select ‘Reel’. This is one of the most creative tools in Facebook and will invite you to edit screens, add filters, connect music, and explore a whole range of other features to bring your reel to life.
Benefits of a Slideshow-style Post
The beauty of a Slideshow – or similar style of post – is that it enables you to share multiple messages and/or images within a single post.
We hope this helps and inspires you to start creatin and sharing content which is packed with diverse imagery and clear messaging.
