Nobody can argue with the fact that Facebook is a social media platform. This means that various users from all walks of life can (and do) utilise the platform for communicating with each other, for keeping up to date with news and announcements, for sharing images and memories, and so much more.

Aside from the basic socialisation aspect of the platform, Facebook also boasts a great many additional features for users who are looking for something a little more stimulating. Gaming is just one of the features that’s available to Facebook users, who can play a wide variety of games and invite their friends to get involved via the app.

If, however, gaming isn’t your thing, then we can safely assume the game requests and notifications are nothing short of irritating.

Which is where this article comes in.

Follow these 5 steps to turn off all gaming notifications and prevent friends from sending you requests and invites – without affecting your ability to play those games if you want to.

5 Steps to Block Game Requests

  1. Click on the menu button in the bottom right hand corner of your Facebook app screen
  2. Select ‘Settings and Privacy’ then ‘Settings’ from the menu that appears
  3. Under the ‘Your Activity’ section, click on ‘Apps and Websites’
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of this menu page to the section headed ‘Game and App Notifications’
  5. Click ‘Turn Off’

This will remove all notifications relating to Facebook Games from your online experience, while still leaving you free and able to play those games if you want to.

We hope this helps! With so many different users accessing Facebook for a wide and diverse array of purposes and interactions, sometimes it just takes a little exploring to find the menu options that compliment and tailor your own preferred experience.
