With so many users accessing Facebook on a daily basis, and with the broad selection of groups and pages that most users follow and engage with regularly, it can sometimes feel like every time you open the app you’re hit with an endless stream of new posts and updates.

Regardless of how long its been since you saw a post you really enjoyed, finding it again can be near impossible given the constant updates on Facebook and the ever-changing algorithm which impacts your newsfeed.

Which is where the Activity Log comes in.

If, when you see a post that you like, you interact with it by tapping the ‘Like’ button with its thumbs up icon, you can easily find this post again through your Activity Log.

Here’s how and where to find it in 4 short steps.

4 Steps to Find Your Activity Log

  1. In the Facebook app, tap on your profile picture / the Menu button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen
  2. Select the Gear icon at the top of the page, next to the magnifying glass search button
  3. Scroll down the ‘Settings and Privacy’ menu until you find ‘Your Activity’
  4. Select ‘Activity Log’

This will open a page that’s dedicated to your Activity on Facebook. To find posts that you have liked in the past, scroll through the grey action buttons until you see ‘Activity History’ then click.

The list of actions that appears includes everything you have done on the app from pages you have visited to users you have searched for and more. Any reference to a post that you have liked is indicated by a thumbs up icon, with all activity filtered by date.

And voila! Clicking on the activity item will enable you to reopen the post or photo that you liked, refreshing your memory and letting you see exactly which posts you’ve been engaged and interacting with. We hope this helps!
